Chappie’s Bees Visit July 9th @ 11:00am

Chappie and his bees will be making a visit to MMS as he teaches the children about the important role bees play in our environment.

The Alachua County Beekeepers Club (ABC) are a beekeepers club working in Alachua County and surrounding areas to inform the public about,… and to preserve, honey bees and other pollinators.The three main purposes of the ABC are to:

1. Share information with the public to show how everyone can take a part in helping to save the pollinators and especially the honeybees.

2. Help new beekeepers establish their hives and mentor them the first year to help them have a successful year. Members helping members helps everyone

3. Promote our interest to youngsters and guide them in the correct ways of beekeeping from the start.

Chappie brings in live Bees to share as well as a sampling of his yummy honey and honey products.
