Millhopper Montessori School will once again be participating in the Oak Hall Community Sports League. Organized team sports will be offered for children in grades K-5 (middle school needs will be addressed through other leagues). Our participation in the league has more than doubled in the last three years and we hope to see the growth continue.
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT MMS ONLY OFFERS SCHOOL TEAMS AND ON SITE PRACTICES FOR SOCCER, BASKETBALL AND FLAG FOOTBALL. ANY OTHER OPTIONS ON THE OAK HALL WEBSITE ARE NOT IN CONJUNCTION WITH MMS AND WHILE YOU ARE FREE TO PARTICIPATE, YOU WOULD NEED TO TRANSPORT YOUR CHILD TO OAK HALL FOR THOSE ACTIVITIES.
We will also need each family to do a separate registration form with us at MMS to cover our liabilities and on-site costs. This will be a paper registration and will available at the front desk or from Coach Cam. This form will also be streamlined so that you can register and pay for multiple children/sports at one time. If you wish to add other sports (before respective deadlines) you will simply need to notify the school in writing of your choices and you will be billed accordingly. No more separate forms for each season and each child!
In regards to fees, you must pay both Oak Hall’s registration fee and a separate fee to MMS when you turn in your paper registration. MMS has to cover the equipment, staff hours and insurance fees accrued by offering on-site practice and school teams, hence the separate fee.
While we realize that you are now required to do two separate registrations initially, it will reduce the number of registrations required overall, especially for families with multiple children participating in multiple sports.
